Private Nathaniel P. Hoag, born 23 January 1815 in Starksboro, Addison County, Vermont; died 24 November 1897 in Kent, King County, Washington. He enlisted as a Private, was promoted to Sergeant, Company F, 118th New York Volunteer Infantry (Union) aka Adirondack Regiment on 16 July 1862 at Elizabethtown, New York; mustered in 29 August 1862 at Plattsburg, New York; he was discharged June 1865 from Ira Harris Hospital in Albany, New York after many hospitalizations for injuries and illness.

Private Clark is interred at the Saar Pioneer Cemetery located at
SR-167 and South 212th Street, Kent, Washington
