Private Lewis Warren, born September 1828 in Connecticut; died 19 March 1902 in Western Washington Hospital for the Insane at Steilacoom, Pierce County, Washington. He served as a Private in Company D, 15th Iowa Volunteer Infantry (Union); enlisted 10 November 1861, Keokuk, Iowa; wounded at the Battle of Corinth on 3 October 1862; transferred to Company K on 1 February 1863 and mustered out 26 February 1863. Reenlisted and mustered in as a substitute on 14 November 1864 at Keokuk, as a private in Company B, 13th Iowa Volunteer Infantry (Union); mustered out 25 July 1865 in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky.
